Do I need special riding boots?

Simon Geldner Updated by Simon Geldner

No, you don't need special riding boots. You also don't need to modify your current riding boots.

Every pair of our magnetic safety stirrups comes with a pair of magnetic insoles, which you simply slide into your riding boots. Quick and easy.

And if you own several riding boots, you can either switch a pair of insoles between the boots or buy additional insole pairs here.

The only thing to note is that the soles have a thickness of about 5mm. If you have riding boots with a very tight fit, it might be a bit tight. However, many boots have removable insoles, which you should replace with ours.

The strength of the magnetic connection depends on the thickness of your shoe soles. With competition riding boots that have a thin sole, you have a stronger connection than with thicker winter boots, for example. For such cases, we also offer our stronger Plus insoles.
